Uttranchal (Rekha dangwal)

Uttaranchal became the 27th state of the Republic of India on the 9th of November 2000 after a long struggle by uttaranchali people. Uttaranchal, The state today have 13 districts, Almora, Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Haridwar, Champawat, Nainital, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh, and Rudraprayag

Uttaranchal is a state of natural beauty and some of the untouched and un spoilt natural places ,They all are famous for it's lakes, mountains, forests, national parks, santuries and is also a favorite destination of wildlife lovers. The State Uttaranchal is carved out of Uttar Pradesh. It occupies 17.3% of India?s total land area with 51,125 sq. km. Uttaranchal is called “Dev Bhoomi” means the land of Gods. Kumaon people have a strong belief to worship of folk gods. Each people have a individual god history attached to his name and each one is recalled in many different ways such as jagar (a form of folk ritual poem)
